Financial Administration Division

Scope of the Division

"To support academic mission of university through careful stewardship of financial resources."

The Finance Administration Division is responsible for matters relating to the payments, receiving money, preparation of financial statements, supply of goods and services and budgeting.

The following works are handling by this division.

  • 1. Preparation of financial statements in accordance with Sri Lanka Public Sector Accounting Standards (SLPAS) generally accepted accounting principles.
  • 2. Making all authorized payments such as utility bills, Mahapola & Bursary, retirement benefits.
  • 3. Preparation and payment of salary.
  • 4. Receiving all moneys paid into the University and credit such moneys to the proper heads of accounts.
  • 5. Procurement of all goods and services as required in accordance with procurement guidelines and instructions issued by National Procurement Agency. (NPA)
  • 6. Stock control and storage.
  • 7. Preparation of annual budget and allocation of amount once approved to relevant department and projects.
  • 8. Reporting to the Ministry and Treasury etc.
  • 9. Liaising with the Treasury for obtaining funds.

Mr. Anuruddha joined Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka in 2018. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Fellow member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri lanka. He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Colombo and BSc. in Business Administration (Special) Degree from the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.
